THEY MAKE WORKPLACES FAIRER

IN UNION IS STRENGTH
Young workers discover an old truth
Baristas are starting to “wake up and smell the coffee.” They are not alone.
Young workers everywhere are no longer willing to be treated like children—condemned to depend on the goodwill of adults for decent treatment. They are more and more looking to unions to help them get the respect all workers want and deserve.
Young workers have been unionizing everything from coffee shops to legal clinics.
Interns, many unpaid, have been standing up for their rights, assisted by the labour movement.
